If you’ve experienced domestic violence or sexual assault, we’re here to offer support and guidance. Domestic violence can be physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual, and it can affect anyone. You are not alone. The Bridge provides free and confidential services to survivors.
If you are in need of temporary housing, please contact our 24-hour hotline (410-996-0333) to see if you are eligible for shelter in our facility.
We provide support.
Our support services are centered around creating a safe space for survivors and empowering them on their path to healing. Available resources include:
- 24-Hour Helpline: Our confidential helpline is available 24/7, 365 days a year. We’re only required to report in cases of child abuse or threats/intentions of harm to yourself or others. Call 410-996-0333.
- Safe Shelter: If you need a safe place to stay, our shelter has space for up to 22 people. We provide essential amenities and a supportive environment.
- Individual Counseling: Receive personalized support and guidance from our counselors/advocates. We’ll work with you on safety planning and connect you with resources.
- Support Groups: Find strength and connection with others in our survivor-focused support groups.
- Safety Planning: We’ll help you create a safety plan tailored to your situation, whether you’re currently in the relationship, preparing to leave, or rebuilding your life afterward.
- Legal Consultation: Get legal advice and representation regarding protective/peace orders from our partner lawyers.
- Children’s Programs: We provide counseling and support programs for children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence.
- Court/Hospital Accompaniment: Our advocates are there for you every step of the way, whether filing legal documents, attending court, or during a hospital visit following a sexual assault.
- Community Education: We raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault by attending community events and offering presentations to schools, companies, and organizations.
We provide shelter.
Our safe shelter provides temporary housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children. We offer a comfortable, secure space with capacity for up to 22 women and children. Men seeking shelter may be accommodated in a nearby motel.
Our shelter includes essential amenities like a full kitchen/pantry, dining room, living room, playroom, recreation room, internet access, multiple bathrooms, and a laundry room.

Resilience: Domestic Violence Support Group
- Wednesdays 1:00pm (Virtual) childcare available upon request
Hope & Healing: Survivors of Sexual Assault Support Group
- Mondays 6:00-7:30pm (at The Bridge) childcare available upon request

- New Personal Hygiene Items, such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, hairbrushes/combs, lotion, Chapstick, face cloths, or hand sanitizer
- Feminine Hygiene Items (pads and/or tampons)
- Cleaning Supplies (must be unopened and unused)
- First Aid Items
- Baby Diapers (any size) and Wipes
- Kitchen Items: trash cans, trash bags, cleaning supplies, dish mats, pots & pans, silverware, towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, Tupperware, glasses and cups, sponges, or small appliances
- Bedroom Items: Sheets sets (twin), quilts, blankets, pillows, or protective bed covers
- Bathroom Items: shower liners, shower curtains, bathmats, small trash cans, trash can liners, or toothbrush holders
- Laundry Items: detergent, fabric softener, or laundry basket
